Myriad Editions are a Brighton based company who started out publishing atlases in 1993. They dipped their toe into comics by including strips in the anthology The Brighton Book in 2005, including work by Woodrow Phoenix and Posy Simmonds alongside prose and poetry. Since then they have published original graphic novels on a variety of subjects including climate change, the dangers of road use and science hoaxes, and in 2012 launched their first competition to publish a new graphic novelist.

At CAPTION 2012, commissioning editor Corinne Pearlman, a cartoonist in her own right, discusses the output of the company alongside Woodrow Phoenix (Rumble Strip), Darryl Cunningham (Science Tales) and Nicola Streeten (Billy, Me & You). Gareth Brookes talks about winning the First Fictions Competition and having his first graphic novel The Black Project published by Myriad.
