CAPTION 2000 -- worth getting up for...
The rest of the world may be gripped with millennium fever, but
this year Caption, the UK's best small press, alternative and
underground comics event, has decided that it has seen enough of
looking forward, celebrating the future, and gazing in wonderment at
humankind's achievements. Instead we have decided that there's more
entertainment value in grubbing around in the murky corners of our
favourite genre, looking for something vile. Something scary.
Something horrible.
This is your invitation to come and join us as we pass several
thousand volts through the hideous, lumbering, inanimate monster that
is Caption. It may be a bit pallid, smell a bit iffy, and
occasionally scare the villagers, but the new reanimated Caption will
be offering its usual fine mix of fearsome panels, sinister workshops,
disturbing shopping, fightening comedy, and more. If that sounds like
more work than your decomposing flesh can stand, there's always the
option of suppurating in our sunny garden (vampires can cower safely
in the bar) while partaking of our terrifyingly cheap beer...
But all this is just extra. The reason you're reading this now is
that Caption needs YOU -- for its exhibition,
tiny objects of fear
